GW7 Review

Team of The Week

So it’s been a minute since I’ve sat in front of this dusty old typewriter and as much as I want to shift around the ToTW there has been one dominant team over the last 3 weeks and they may have finished a close 2^nd in GW7 but 1^st pick got the most points and we can all agree fuck 1^st pick. AC Barella are this weeks Team of The Week with a beaut of a 54 which in turn meant Mr Deverell lost after probably scoring his best score of the season. Lovely stuff. Semenyo dropped the bombs with 18, Burn Burn brought an 11 to the table alongside Rice and that’s basically it. Who needs a team of scorers when you have 3 big ones? Brave Rudi.

Match of The Week

Weirdly EoC v TSFC takes this but not because it was good, it was not, because it was so shit and had a massive swing in scores during the last game of the GW which gave Ed the clear but tight victory winning 34-30. This was a real war of attrition so both teams were littered with non players, bookings and the occasional assist. You’d never guess these two were near the end of the draft…..

Player of The Week

It was Semenyo but he’s had it twice already in the 4 weeks I’ve done a review so fuck that guy (not really, he’s great) which means we have a tie on 12pts for Gvardiol and Kudus. New names are great right? Well, they are, until you see they play for Chrish and fuck that guy too. Shout out of Van Hecke, Burn, Rice and Timber for getting 11pts too.

Chump of the Week

Probably Tiny Tony with a paltry 24pts this week. Not sure he had a single extra points scorer this week bar Keane who picked up an extra couple of defensive points. Hard luck dude.

Quelle Surprise of The Week

The biggest surprise is you get a Review! Apologies for missing GW5 & 6 but I was aware on a “holiday” and for those of you with multiple children you will know it is anything but a holiday. Yes it was lovely, yes the place was amazing but when 11am Espresso Martinis become a necessity rather than a luxury then you know it’s hard work. Hopefully now normal service will resume. If anyone ever fancies having a pop at one of these though I’d happily share the love around.

Dawkins of The Week

Even though I still have no fucking clue who Isidor is Warren dropped a real Dawkins on me this week. Le Fee. Dafuq is that? Also shout out to Arias who is a pain in the arias every week to score. Fucking Le Fee, come on!
